A lady called to report that her unit was not cooling her home sufficiently. When we arrived we found that she did not have a sufficient amount of refrigerant. Once we recharged the system it was once again working normally.
We used Freon in this instance. Even though Freon is being phased out as a refrigerant in newer models because of environmental concerns, it can still be used in older models. However, only a certified technician can legally perform this type of work. If your cooling system isn’t cold enough, first make sure that your air filter is clean. Then, make sure there aren’t any obstructions near your outdoor unit such as weeds or other debris.
