This customer lives in an apartment and was constantly having problems with clogs. The landlord’s regular plumber was unable to properly fix the problem, so he called us to provide a permanent solution. We came out, found the source of the clog, cleared the pipes and everything worked normally afterward.
In this particular instance, the problem was the brand of toilet paper that was being used in the home. Many of today’s brands are very durable, but that durability can cause plumbing issues. The reason is that the toilet paper doesn’t break down as it should when it is flushed down the commode. Eventually, it accumulates to the point where a clog forms.
