Burst Pipe in Conshohocken, PA

|

A true plumbing emergency that needs immediate attention

Burst pipes are a huge plumbing emergency that needs to be taken care of as soon as you notice it. This customer called because when he came home from work he noticed his ceiling had a huge puddle of water and that it was seeping into the walls as well.

Pipes can burst for a number of reasons – old, misused, or damaged pipes; freezing conditions; a lot of pressure – and the aftermath of it would be extremely damaging to your home.

There would be thousands of dollars worth of damage – ruining carpeting, flooring, and furniture, shorting electricity, creating an environment for the growth of mold and mildew, and compromising your walls and ceilings.

If this happens to you, you need to call a professional. But there is something you should do first – stop the water flow. Shut off the main water supply by turning off the main stop tab. Then let the pipe drain by turning on all the taps. Turn off the water heating system and turn on all hot taps to drain that water out. Once there is no more water running from the taps, all leaks should stop. However, you will still need help taking care of the broken pipe.

This is a true emergency, so if you find yourself in this situation call Feehan Plumbing & Heating as soon as you can.
